Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced a slew of incentives for the people of Yamunanagar district which included construction of a new road from Yamunanagar to Khajuri village, a government college for Sadhaura and Radaur, a new bus stand at Bilaspur, tehsil status to Khajirabad, construction of 33 KV sub-station at Khajirabad and Rs 5 crore for Municipal Corporation of Yamunanagar-Jagadhari for various development works up to March 31.
The chief minister was addressing people while redressing the grievances of people at Yamunanagar on Sunday evening. The chief minister received as many as 100 complaints pertaining to various issues and assured them that their grievances would be resolved at the earliest. He also announced that keeping in view the increasing population and lack of road network in this area; a new ring road would be constructed for Yamunanagar-Jagadhari to decongest the traffic.
He announced that Yamunanagar being a border area, a transport city would be developed so as to boost transport business. Similarly, he also announced that a timber market would also be established in Jagadhari to further blossom the trading of timbers.
The chief minister said he has a special bonding with this district as it has been a part of his social life for six years from 1983-90. Thereafter also, being an organisation secretary of the BJP, he has been associated with this area. But he lamented that this area which is rich of natural resources and high industrial prospects, has been lagged behind in terms of development as no previous government has given attention to this area.
He said but now the people of this area have given BJP an opportunity to ensure the development of this area by sending four MLAs to the Vidhan Sabha.
He assured the people that the government would leave no stone unturned to ensure the development of this area.
